Community Council - What is it?

While Regional Council considers matters for all of HRM, Community Council considers local matters, makes recommendations to Regional Council, and provides opportunities for public input. For District 13, we are part of North West Community Council. Along with District 13, the other Districts of North West Community Council include:

• District 1 - Waverley - Fall River - Musquodoboit Valley (Councillor Deagle Gammon)
• District 14 - Hammonds Plains – Upper Hammonds Plains – Lucasville – Middle & Upper Sackville (Councillor Young)
• District 15 - Lower Sackville - Beaver Bank (Councillor Gillis)
• District 16 - Bedford - Wentworth (Councillor St. Amand)

The North West Community Council normally meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m at City Hall.
