Egress For Westwood Hills

The staff report requested by Councillor Lovelace on Oct 3, 2023 to determine the best egress route for Westwood Hills is tracking to return to Council on March 25, 2025.  

As of the time of this writing, I do not know which route will be recommended, as contract and legal negotiations are private and confidential. My expectation, however, is that the recommended route will exit onto the 103 Hwy.

 Other points to know:

• The plan itself will be actionable. There may be planning and design following, but it will require no further input or direction from Council.
• The draft Capital Budget Plan for 2025/2026 has budget earmarked to do this work, along with $300k for a regional study of egress for the region. The draft Capital Budget Plan has already been approved by Council in principle.
